Mexican Party @ Lucha Loco - Styled Shoot
Stepping away from classic palettes, this unique wedding theming explodes with colour and charisma!
Tucked in the cozy Duxton Hill district is a vibrant cocina featuring a garden bar. In this fun Mexican restaurant, Lucha Loco, we styled an equally whimsical wedding.
We decided on a distinct palette of strong, complementary colours to match the venue’s fun-loving vibes.
Wooden structures were brought in to elevate the floral installations. We wanted to create natural trailing flowers and leaves down from the arrangements.
On top of the lush backdrop, we added in a multitude of cacti as interesting focal points.
It was exciting to witness the juxtaposition of the soft, dreamy blooms next to the strong and hardy cacti!
Seeing the restaurant’s iconic food cart, we knew we could not pass up the opportunity to dress it up!
Firefly fairy lights were installed together with the vivid flower arrangements, making it the ultimate Insta-worthy backdrop.
Going with vibrant yellows and reds also helped reflect the playfulness of our featured couple’s personalities, making them feel right at home in this shoot.
What wedding dinner would be complete without, well, food?
Keeping in line with the lavish forest theme, we laid a soft, tan-coloured table runner to complement the natural distressed wood of the table. Then, we set down daintier versions of our floral backdrop.
The result was almost as if the grazing table had provided the plates of delectable small bites by itself!
It’s definitely not everyday that we get to work with cacti! It was also so fun matching the flowers to our couple and the venue as well. Stay tuned for more styled shoots to come!
