Create a Rustic Chic Wedding at Raffles Hotel Singapore

You might've heard of the historic Jubilee Hall Theatre but did you know there is another spot to have a rustic chic wedding in Raffles Hotel Singapore? James and Melissa’s wedding venue was at the beautiful colonial architecture of Raffles Hotel Singapore – Bar & Billard Room.

This space is iconic to Singapore's culture, with finely curated motifs, elegant coffers and stunning chandeliers that speak of a bygone era and will make any wedding a legacy story. We were definitely excited to be crafting the designs to dress up the room beautifully for the couple.

Like how any wedding or event planning begins, we first sat down with the couple to understand their expectations and requirements for the wedding. This process helps us to get to know you better so we can decorate your wedding room beautifully in a way that reflects your personality and style.

Subsequently, we will provide sent a proposal to the couple. This is an exciting moment because it will be the first time you get a visualization of the space. You will be presented with sketches and mockups that we've prepared just for you - because pictures paint a thousand words - and there's no better way to replicate the ambience that we will be creating for your big day.

Melissa wanted a rustic-chic vibe for her wedding. Hence, we created this wire fence which depicts a rustic feel as a backdrop for their engagement photos. We proposed these panels with gold frames to complement the gold Venetian light fixtures in the space at Raffles Hotel. This gave an added layer of subtle luxury to the space.

It was also used for an intimate message wall where their guests could write their well-wishes, roll it up into a scroll and slot it into the fence. The little table was laid out with vintage camera props with pen and paper for the guests to write warm blessings for the couple.

We also crafted a customized couple monogram which was laser-cut and spray painted as a finishing touch to the panels.

To build a cohesive look to the space, custom table numbers were also fabricated to lend to an ambience of subtle luxury benefiting Raffles Hotel. The gold notes also helped guests to find their seating table easily!

If you take a look at the table number flower bottle, we also did cut-out stickers of their event hashtag, which helps to constantly remind guests to actively post photos of the wedding on social media! It is little touches like this that help to make a wedding memorable.

We printed table cards that were designed to be interactive games for the guests during the dinner. These games usually bring loads of laughter to the space during the wedding.

Clear acrylic photo frames were perfect as door gifts as guests were able to use them to hold instant prints at the photo booth. We also doubled it up as a name placement card to clearly demarcate seating arrangements.

Yet another customized laser cut-out of the couple’s monogram, this time as a cake topper atop a rustic wedding cake.

We had so much fun being involved with this wedding and are really thankful for a couple like James and Melissa who trusts us with their wedding decorations, allowing us to make our signature touches across the space at Raffles Hotel. Definitely looking forward to our next full wedding design!
