Bucket Full of Roses take on floristry is heavily inflicted by our founder’s background in Visual Communication and Interior design. Through the marriage of her passion for design and her love for flowers, Kayly started Bucket Full of Roses after trial and error, self exploration on learning techniques and gaining different know-hows on the job; as they say, there is no greater teacher than experience. Now, it is Kayly’s wish to grow this wonderful community by sharing her knowledge through this floral workshop.

What you will learn in this workshop:

  1. Color Theory
Color plays an important, if not, the MOST vital role in floristry. It can influence perception, mood and evoke certain emotions. We will cover how to choose a color palette based on the art and science of Color Theory.

  2. Centerpiece Design
You will learn how to make a lush and organic centerpiece - from choosing a vase, the flower recipe and the techniques to make your arrangement come to life.

  3. Table Styling
We will then style a long table setting using the centerpieces created by the participants. Learn what are the elements that make up a tablescape and ways to make it look cohesive with your color palette.

  4. Foam Free Installation
We will then create an installation around the studio using foam-free methods. This will be a combined group effort and you will learn how to access a venue feasibility and the mechanics behind.

What is also included:

  1. Lots and lots of seasonal fresh flowers
  2. Floral scissors and other sundries
  3. Food and drinks to fuel you throughout the day
  4. Professional photographer to help take photos for your own use/portfolio
