Rustic Boho Wedding @ Hotel Fort Canning

We love preserved flower arrangements just as much as our fresh blooms! Preserved flowers showcase elements of muted tans and burnt sienna that are completely different from fresh flowers.
Our featured couple’s beautiful wedding day began at St. Ignatius Church. The sand-coloured drapes were a perfect complement to our bride’s desire for an elegant yet rustic boho vibe.
To make the floral installations pop, we included natural, live flowers that gave the entire set up a touch of softness and life.
Rose gold planters were paired with sturdy white columns for a regal floral look. We also used preserved ferns to create a quiet, palatial atmosphere.
A simple reception table was set up to welcome the couple’s guests together with a minimalistic acrylic sign shaded by luxurious pampas.
Dressing up the vintage Kombi VW Van was such a celebration! We didn’t want to contradict the muted colour palette of the Kombi and instead chose to complement it with preserved ferns and flowers of blush and white.
Trailing by the Kombi’s vintage door handles were a combination of pink and white ribbons, giving the adorable vehicle a dreamy and romantic feel.
An added benefit to this floral arrangement is its durability. After the intimate church ceremony, we transported and repurposed the flower installation at Fort Canning Hotel where the couple’s dinner reception took place.
We transformed the look of the florals by simply assembling clusters of candles to give them a warm, dewy glow.
The arrangements were also spruced up to look their best at different heights, creating a wondrous backdrop for phototaking.
This beautiful ceremony goes to show that there is no need to be on the fence when deciding between fresh florals and preserved flowers. A hybrid is definitely the way to go!
